Family Wellness & Self-Sufficiency

From counseling to support to emergency shelters and transitional housing, SBCS is dedicated to providing a holistic approach that helps families and individuals survive and overcome difficult situations.

Our treatment and case management services assist survivors of domestic violence in recovering from the trauma experienced in an abusive relationship. The individual and group counseling services we offer provide a place of healing. Although victims can never erase what has happened to them, time and support help survivors put the pieces of their life back together, repair their self-esteem and essentially moved past the abuse.

This 24 hour/7 days a week emergency response unit is the first and only in San Diego’s South County region. Working closely with local law enforcement and stationed at all South Bay Police Departments, DVRT specialists accompany police on all domestic violence calls. DVRT specialists provide crisis intervention to victims and their children and assist children and adult victims plan their immediate and long-term safety. DVRT also responds to calls from the SBCS Hotline number 1-800-640-2933.
