SBCS strengthens communities through involvement, partnership and a shared desire to lift up and empower children, youth and families for a better, healthier tomorrow. We recently partnered with local experts and national organizations to help San Diego community members become informed voters.

In collaboration with the National Association of Women Judges and American College of Trial Lawyers to host a community event focused on increasing citizen knowledge of the Judicial Branch of government and checks and balances.

The presentation was led by the Honorable Judith D McConnell, Professor Virginia Nelson and San Diego County District Attorney’s Office Chief Deputy District Attorney/Human Resources Jerrilyn T. Malana.

Attendees learned and asked questions in-person at the Chula Vista Public Library Civic Center Branch and virtually via Zoom and Facebook Live.

Relive or experience the presentation for the first time by viewing our recorded Facebook Live video.
