SBCS and the South Region Coalition of the San Diego Domestic Violence Council is inviting the community to join “Light Up the Night,” an evening of solidarity, self-care, and community support in the ongoing fight against domestic violence, coinciding with Domestic Violence Awareness Month. “The mission of the Light Up the Night event is to illuminate a world free of domestic violence,” said Analicia McKee-Chau, Domestic Violence Shelter & Supportive Services Program director at SBCS in a statement. “We hope that members of the community join us on October 25th as we come together to stand with survivors and prioritize violence prevention, advocacy, and self-care in the fight against domestic violence. Let us be a community that says no to abuse and yes to solidarity.”
