“During three decades at the helm of SBCS (formerly South Bay Community Services), Kathryn Lembo has transformed the agency from a tiny drop-in center for at-risk youth into one of the largest social service agencies in the county, one that serves 50,000 people annually. 2021 was a milestone year. Under Lembo’s leadership, SBCS and partner agencies served more than 3,000 unaccompanied migrant youth at the San Diego Convention Center.”
