SAN DIEGO — In March, the San Diego Foundation announced $130,000 in grants to support free tax preparation services for low-income families across San Diego County. The San Diego Foundation says 11% of San Diegans, which equates to about 335,000 people, live below the federal poverty line. The goal is to promote economic stability across our region and ensure that eligible families can claim important benefits, such as the Earned Income Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit.
