Staying home helps prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect the health of our community. SBCS is currently responding to an increase in the need for housing support and resources for those who may be experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity.

We are currently increasing access to housing in the following ways:

  • Expanding the capacity of our shelters to accommodate additional families and individuals experiencing homelessness that are at high risk of COVID-19 complications, need isolation due to testing positive for COVID-19 or being exposed to COVID-19
  • Increasing rental assistance and rapid rehousing services to meet increase in requests
  • Enhancing services at our sites to supplement for educational and support programs temporarily on hold

For more information, please call us at (619) 420-3620.

Please check back to our website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram regularly and subscribe to our email updates for news on specific programs, and services as well as efforts to support the needs of the wider community as we monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and its impacts.

Donate to help SBCS continue to meet the essential needs of the communities we serve at this unprecedented time.
