CELEBRATING ACHIEVEMENT

Thank you for investing in our students’ futures.

We completed our 2018-2019 fiscal year with much to celebrate – a month full of graduations!

From preschool to college graduates, because of your gifts of time, talents and treasures, our students and families received support and resources to overcome challenges and reach great milestones.

Congratulations to our college graduates!

We celebrated our third group of college graduates. Three students completed their studies in four years and graduated from SDSU and UC Santa Cruz. Four students will be transferring from Southwestern College to 4-year universities.

High school grads continuing their journey!

This makes it more than 384 of our young people in two and four-year colleges! Congrats to these schools – you have some great students ready to take on their studies and the college experience: Southwestern College, Mesa College, San Diego City College, Grossmont College, CSU Channel Island, Humboldt State University, SDSU, CSU San Marcos, San Francisco State University, San Jose State University, UC Merced, UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside, and Stanford Learn more about the Chula Vista Promise Neighborhood

“I highly recommend the services provided by First Steps. Without their aid I don’t know how I would have been able to give my son a better opportunity. I cannot thank you guys enough!”

Mi Escuelita Expansion Grand Opening

Thirteen years after our first ribbon cutting, we have expanded our special Mi Escuelita preschool to serve even more children and reduce our waiting list. A thank you to Ron and Guadalupe Cohn Sprouts Chula Vista & Eastlake, and Phil and Catherine Blair Manpower San Diego who three years ago committed to expanding Mi Escuelita. And with support from Chula Vista Elementary School DistrictStars Stripes as well as Christine Moore and CA Corrections & Rehabilitation, and the generous and loving donation from The Guy Clum Fund at The San Diego Foundation, our additional classroom PLUS the beginning plans to extend to the City of San Diego have become a reality. The work continues. #StrongerTogether
