Many of the youth we serve do not have the means to participate in after-school activities or formal sports leagues or clubs. Since 2007, SBCS in partnership with Sweetwater Unified School District has been providing students a safe place for when school is over and an atmosphere where students can engage in activities that benefit their academics and overall physical and mental health.
SBCS After-School also provides an array of programs for the whole family. We know that home stressors can affect a student’s academics and achievement. Therefore, SBCS After-School also serves as a platform for linking youth and families to additional resources available at SBCS to help the WHOLE family.
