General/Long-Term Volunteers (40+ Hours)
Are you looking for a way to make a consistent and lasting impact? Long-term volunteers are at the heart of SBCS’s work, supporting a variety of programs and initiatives that empower our community. Whether you’re helping with events, assisting in one of our family-centered programs, or sharing your unique skills, your commitment helps us make a difference every day. Volunteering for 40+ hours is a great opportunity to develop meaningful connections, expand your own experience, and truly see the impact of your contributions over time.

Corporate/Group Volunteers
Is your team or organization looking for a way to give back while building camaraderie? Corporate and group volunteering opportunities at SBCS provide an excellent way to strengthen bonds, grow teamwork skills, and leave a positive impact on the community. From participating in community beautification projects to hosting donation drives or assisting with special events, your group can play a pivotal role in supporting our mission. Together, we can make a difference!
Practicum/Clinical Applications
Are you looking for a practicum experience where you can grow your clinical skills while making a meaningful impact in the community?
SBCS offers clinical practicum opportunities for graduate students pursuing master’s degrees in counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, psychology, and related fields. Practicum students gain hands-on experience supporting children, youth, adults, and families while working alongside experienced professionals in a supportive, community-based environment.
Depending on program placement and academic requirements, practicum students may gain experience in areas such as individual and family services, case management, assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, community resources, and other clinically focused services.
A practicum with SBCS provides an opportunity to apply classroom learning in a real-world setting, strengthen your clinical skills, receive professional guidance and supervision, and build meaningful connections while contributing to the well-being of the communities we serve.

Every hour you give has the power to transform lives. By joining SBCS as a volunteer, you’re not only supporting those in need but also building stronger, more connected communities. Apply today and be part of the change! If you have questions or would like more information, contact volunteer@csbcs.org or 619-420-3620.
