On behalf of our Co-Chairs San Diego County Supervisors Nathan Fletcher and Nora Vargas, San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria, and Chula Vista Mayor Mary Casillas Salas, we invite you to join us in celebrating 50 years of strengthening San Diegans.
Saturday, October 23, 6 p.m – 11 p.m
North Promenade at Liberty Station
Change Their Lives is an evening of fun and festive fundraising that will celebrate SBCS’s community partnerships; life-changing programs such as Mi Escuelita, California’s only therapeutic preschool; our work in support of San Diego families experiencing hardship due to the pandemic; and our leadership at the Convention Center shelter for unaccompanied migrant children. We could not have done this important work without your support and we invite you to celebrate with us.
This year, we’ll celebrate decades of strengthening communities with nostalgic cuisine, throw-back cocktails, exclusive auction opportunities, and dance the night away to music from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s performed by our friends at the Republic of Music!
For 50 years, SBCS has brought together civic, business, and community leaders and has raised millions to create, enhance, and sustain programs that heal, give hope, and change the academic and life trajectory of San Diego’s children and families. The evening supports:
- Mi Escuelita, therapeutic preschool;
- Family Emergency Response Team; and
- Emergency shelter, transitional housing, and supportive services for transition-age youth.
Purchase your tickets or table by October 2, 2021. Black cocktail attire with shoes suitable for grassy terrain. No costumes, please. Rideshare transportation is encouraged. Valet and self-parking will be available.
We hope you’ll join us on the green to benefit hundreds of children and families impacted by abuse and violence in San Diego County.
