Our Safe Place is a welcoming LGBTQ+ community center for youth up to age 21 and their families. SBCS is a proud OSP partner, providing virtual and emergency in-person support to youth, including those who may be experiencing increased feelings of stress and isolation during this time.
Our online services are accessible to youth every day from 12 – 8 p.m. and include the following programming:
- Morning check-in
- Self-care session
- Youth chat (new topics daily)
- Evening activity (e.g. watch party, virtual poetry, makeup tutorials)
June Activities Calendar (Please note all programs are held via Zoom app, a password is required to join the group.)
While space is limited in adherence to social distancing measures, our center is open every day from 12 – 8 p.m. to serve youth in need of emergency services or crisis support, or those with limited Internet access.
Our Safe Place’s services focus support in areas such as alcohol and drug abuse, coming out, depression, family relationships, gender identity, safe dating, sexual health and transitioning. Caregiver support and other resources are also offered.
